Sports timing and electronic refereeing

The ASC3 start clock helps to regulate the starting procedure. The time is started by a contact strip at the beginning. When the timing is finished, the TdC8001 device is stopped by a photocell.
In case the start is close to the finish, a headset can be installed to communicate between the starter and the timer. We recommend positioning a person with an optional headset about 300 metres before the finish line to announce arriving racers.

VELOTRACK
In a road race, the start is triggered by an electronic starting gun and a lap counter determines the number of laps to finish. A display screen is mounted on the roof of the vehicle to make the results visible to spectators and competitors. At the finish line, a photocell automatically records the athlete's time and manages the recording of the photo finish and IDCam. Scoreboards with the result time and the leader's time difference can be attached before the finish line.
ROAD RACE
The Startclock ASC3 belongs to the accessories in timed races because it helps to regulate the start sequence: the time is started by an antenna switch at the start, measured by the TdC8001 timing device and stopped at the finish by a photocell. When the start is close to the finish line, the starter and the timing operator can connect using a headset. The judge or announcer at the finish line can tell the bib number of arriving cyclists to the timing system operator.
