ATHLETICS

sports timing and electronic refereeing systems
We manufacture mobile timing systems tailored to your requirements, which you can easily use on any sports field.

We have developed a convenient and user-friendly electronic refereeing system for athletics, which automatically receives data from the timing system and integrates with the StadiumGraphics information system.

The information system can be managed by one operator. The athlete's signature caption, time result, lag time and other information is automatically overlaid on the video image using data from the judging system.

Additional functions allow to make the competition more spectacular and thus involve more spectators.

Timing system
A variety of timing equipment is used for athletics, from simple training systems using infrared gauges to photo finish systems used at major competitions. We offer a range of timing equipment and accessories for athletics, such as lap counters, start clocks, waterproof enclosures, distance measuring devices (theodolites) and various display boards from ALGE-TIMING. A complete timing system for athletics is shown in the figure below.

BANG electronic starting system
The BANG e-Start system is ideal for docking with other ALGE-TIMING devices and can be used with one or more speakers with a built-in BANG amplifier. The diagram below shows the BANG W connected via radio signal to the e-Start W electronic starter gun, replacing traditional starter guns. When the trigger is pulled on the e-Start W, a start pulse is transmitted via radio to the BANG W's speaker and to a timer (such as the Timy3 WP). The BANG W emits a sound that simulates the starting shot. The starter gives commands to the competitors using the BANG-HS radio headset. The BANG CW start system (see picture below) can be connected to the SJ2 false start system. When the trigger is pulled, the BANG CW loudspeaker and the loudspeakers placed in the starter units give a signal to simulate a gunshot. If the starter pulls the e-Start trigger again within 5 seconds, a false start signal is given through the loudspeakers. With the wireless button WTN-PB, a false start signal can be given via the SJ2 starting system.

Electronic starting guns e-Start and e-Start W
The electronic starter pistol combines absolute accuracy and synchronization of the starter signal, flash and beep (simulated shot) and replaces traditional starter pistols. With the advent of this device, the problems associated with gun transportation are history. The electronic starter pistol connects directly to ALGE-TIMING devices such as the BANG or the SJ2 starter system. The starter pistol has a button (trigger) which, when pressed, gives a signal, a flash and a simulated shot, as well as a start signal to other timing devices. e-Start is connected by cable; e-Start W is wirelessly connected.

Start Microphone SM8
The SM8 start microphone is used in all sports in which the start is given by means of a start gun, e.g. track and field, triathlon, cycling, skating, short track or cross-country skiing. The SM8 starter microphone is mounted on the starter pistol. The sound of the starting gun firing creates an electrical impulse in the SM8 start microphone and starts the timer accordingly. The SM8 starter microphone is connected to the SV4 / SM amplifier, from which a two-wire cable with banana plugs is respectively connected to the timer. In addition, a headset can be connected to the SV4 / SM voice amplifier, which allows the starter to communicate with the timekeeper. The same two-core cable is used both for the headset and for the start feed.

Infrared sensor
Triple infrared sensor RLS3c
The Triple Infrared Sash works at distances from 2 to 15 meters and the sash consists of 3 photocells arranged on top of each other in one housing. The set includes an infrared shutter, reflector, 2 tripods and a cable.

The following functions are possible:

The triggering area of the shutter: athletics; only if all three photocells are closed at the same time, a pulse is given. This prevents false triggers from hands or feet and the unofficial time of the gatekeeper corresponds to the “official winning time”. It is recommended to use the shutter when the time is displayed on the scoreboard.

Single triggering: all three photocells work independently, i.e. even if one of the three photocells triggers, a pulse is given (e.g. in agility).

Photofinish OPTIc3
The OPTIc3 photofinishing system is by far the most advanced photofinishing system on the market. It provides recording speeds of up to 30,000 lines per second (fps) with vertical resolutions of up to 2016 dots. This makes it the ideal timing device for all sports that utilize photo images to determine accurate results.
Features such as 2-D imaging, autofocus and auto iris make the system user-friendly. VoIP allows communication with the starter without the use of a headset by the timekeeping operator.
Network connectivity

Easily connect to virtually any computer via Ethernet or WLAN.

Autofocus

When using the ALGE-TIMNG auto zoom lens, you can access convenient features such as autofocus and auto iris adjustment.

Live streaming

The camera image can be displayed via WLAN, on a cell phone or on a tablet. This makes it possible to easily and accurately adjust the OPTIc3 camera that is far away from the computer and does not have an auto zoom lens.

2-D Image Adjustment

With 2-D image adjustment (maximum 2,016 x 360 dots), the camera can be quickly and accurately adjusted to the finish line.

High-speed 2-D camera

With 2-D full screen mode at 100 Hz, the OPTIc3 is ideal for sports such as swimming and rowing. Since the OTPIc3 has a built-in timer, it can be guaranteed to accurately synchronize 100 images per second.

Software

OPTIc3 NET's state-of-the-art, powerful software makes photo image evaluation quick and easy. The following operating systems are supported: Windows 7 / Windows 8 / Windows 10
The OPTIc3 photo finish system is available in two versions:

OPTIc3 basic system

A photofinish system with a recording speed of 3,000 lines per second and 1,360 dots. The features listed in OPTIc3-PRO are not included in the base system, but it can be supplemented with all OPTIc3-PRO features in the future.

OPTIc3-PRO

The professional photofinishing system is the best in its segment. Includes the following built-in additional features:
- high recording speed: up to 30,000 lines per second
- high resolution: vertical resolution of 2,016 dots (48% higher than OPTIc2)
- extremLuX: various image enhancement technologies, in low light conditions
- Motion detection: automatic recording when motion is detected
- built-in WTN: wireless pulse and data transmission
- High-speed camera. You can record 100 images per second in 2-D mode with a resolution of 1024 x 768 or 360 x 2,016 dots. IDCam software is available for this feature
- VoIP: Voice-over IP allows communication with the starter without the need for a mini-headset by the computer operator.

FINISH LINE MONITORING
IDCam
IDCam is a reliable and simple device for monitoring the finish line. When an athlete crosses the finish line, the IDCam takes a series of high-resolution pictures and saves them to a PC. The IDCam can be connected to an ALGE-TIMING timer. An infrared shutter at the finish line triggers recording on the IDCam. The images are automatically sorted by ID number if the number is entered into the timing device in advance. The recorded images help to determine the order in which athletes cross the finish line, correct for missing finish line crossings and assign BIB numbers that are clearly visible on the recorded images.
IDCam is the perfect complement to any ALGE-TIMING timekeeping device

Number of images: up to 30 frames per second

Image resolution: 2,592 x 1,944 px (5 MP) IDCam to PC: Ethernet CAT5 cable length up to 100 m Timer to PC: RS232 orUSB

Recording time: infinite, depending on PC hard disk capacity

PC operating system: Windows Vista, 7, 8, 10
